January 8, 2010, Newsletter Issue #197: Protect your projector: Projector Kensington lock

Tip of the Week

Most every digital projector has a slot for a Kensington lock. These slots are designed to connect a thin, sturdy cable, called a Kensington lock. This works similarly to a bike lock in that you must wrap the lock around a fixed object or heavy object that won't be easily stolen. Kensington locks are difficult to cut through as well. Just the fact that you have this lock on the digital projector will deter most thieves.
