How An LCD Projector Works

AVPartner.com Tip: When using LCD projectors, consider the brightness and contrast elements. If the ANSI lumens rating is higher, LCD projectors will have a brighter light. For a typical business or classroom setting, you need LCD projectors that will put out 1000 to 2000 lumens. However, if you find yourself in an expansive room, like a conference room, you may need to boost the luments up to 2000 to 3000. This will prevent the images on the LCD projectors from being washed out. For a good contrast, use a projector with contrast ratios of 400:1 or higher. If you think you'll often be putting images up with the lights on, you should look for LCD projectors with a contrast ratio that is particularly high.
